A dinner date with the exes

No, I am not talking about ex-boyfriend or ex-lover.. I hardly keep in touch with them anyway except for Iggie maybe and the last time I met him was about 3 years ago. The exes I am referring to here are my ex-work mates in Santa Fe.

I was surfing the internet when Stephane sent me a message on my skype saying that he wanted to meet up with me and Chiok. Truth be told, I was avoiding any meeting with him. He wanted to know just one thing from me 'Why I left Santa Fe?' And how could I tell him to his face that one of the reasons I left was him? But there is something that made me feel obliged to meet up with him this time, he too is leaving Santa Fe Malaysia to work with Santa Fe Singapore.

I was a bit nervous as I arrived at Plaza Mont Kiara, not because of anything but I'm not sure what to say when he asks. I saw Chiok first and as we walk in to the restaurant, Stephane came up to us. As soon as we were seated, we did so much talking that we forgot to order our foods. After listening to his story (the reasons why he's leaving SF), I actually felt sorry for that guy. But I did what I came to do, which was to let him know why I left last year. We basically have almost the same reason, I guess he gets the bigger blow (or maybe I should say shit instead) because his position was higher than mine. But getting the same stuffs made him understand what I went through towards the last moments of my service with Santa Fe. And in a funny way, I feel relieved for him to have gone through that... So I really wouldn't have to give all the tiny details. And we agreed that there are few bitches in SF whom have made our lives a living hell!

I got to know that there are so many new faces in SF now, not that I care but it is quite interesting to know. Iain is also leaving the company next month to work with a Financial Institution and will be getting married to a wonderful girl, Christina. Iain and I should be in contact again.. He sent me a message through my facebook but I couldn't find the gut to reply so I left it at that. I feel bad now actually. Therefore, I am sending a message to him after this and maybe meet up with him to catch up.

Whatever is going to happen to that company after most of its key people left is none of my problem but I really hope that Steve realized his mistakes and does something about it. I may not be interested to know further.
