Generally Speaking...

It's Tuesday and many people has started their business/work as usual after the long Chinese New Year Holiday. I received a good news yesterday. The funding for my little retail business has been approved and will come through in a few months. I am excited but at the same time, kind of still in the dark about what sort of business is good for me to run... I would really love to bring in something from the US or Europe but I'm sure that will need plenty of money. Half a million ringgit will not be enough! I need to do some more studies on this! MFA, here I come..

I also did some shopping yesterday. I bought Elianto make-up cleanser wipe and Green Tree Body Scrub. I have been using Body Shop Body Scrub all this while so this is something different. Elianto is cheaper by a lot! A BS body scrub is at RM55 a jar and Elianto's is at RM15 a jar! Since it's green tea, I'm giving it a try. The beads in Elianto is so fine that when I was scrubbing away last night, I didn't feel them at all. But they smelt so good... But I will definitely go back to Body Shop or maybe I should try something else like Crabtree & Evelyn or L'occitane. I'm going downtown later today to get my make-up foundation so maybe I will drop by at these counters. The make-up wipe is not as effective as regular baby wipes, maybe it 's because it contains less cleaning chemical? I don't know. And at RM15, it's not worth it. I would prefer to do my normal routine, makeup remover and facial cleanser. I feel cleaner that way.

I also bought a Hair Straightener Iron from HSL. It was really weird yesterday... I was at W3 in Subang Parade looking for the Iron.. I thought I saw some when I was there not long time ago. The usual place where I buy my beauty tool (Shins) ran out of this item, thus brought me to W3. The sales assistant was a very scruffy looking guy with long hair and he tied half of them up. The color of his hair is so long overdue like he hasn't looked at himself in the mirror for half his life! While he was explaining about the item, I couldn't help thinking how could he be employed in the hair department when he obviously does not care about his hair at all. His boss must be blind!! After he did all the explaining to me, I told him that I wanted to see the make-up and clothes and will be back when I've decided. So I left him and went around the store looking at other products. After I tried a couple of dresses and decided that they didn't fit, I went back to him and he couldn't even remember me.. Talk about a totally spaced-out person! So off I went to HSL still couldn't believe what happened at W3. As I approached the HSL counter where they have the Straightening Iron displayed, there was a middle aged couple looking at some items. What I didn't understand was that they were at the hair dryer, curler and straightener counter but looking at cameras... And the wife was just blocking the whole display counter and refused to move even when I said "excuse me.." C'mmon, how a middle aged person acting like a no-mannered 12 years old is so beyond me. I got the straightener that I like and paid for it at the counter, only to find that I purchased the display/demo unit, as it was out of stock. But since it's cheaper (RM125) than I thought it would be (RM300), I took it anyway. And I tried the iron last night, it's superb.. As I sit typing in this blog, I still look at my hair that is still so, so straight.

Thumbs up to the Panasonic Hair Straightening Iron. I'm happy with my purchases...
