Post CNY...

Post Chinese New Year... Had a great dinner party last night. I cooked some simple foods and thought I could take some pictures but my guests arrived early and didn't get the chance. I prepared Steamboat varieties, 5 spices Chicken with Mushroom, Fried Noodle (very Chinese-style), Sweet & Sour Fish & Steamed Fish (thanks to the 4 big garoupas that my aunt brought from KK, fresh!). We had fun gambling and chatting the night away. I learned a new card game last night (thanks to Wani & Sateria) and it was a lot of fun! The guys had whiskey and I had 2 glasses of red. Drunk by the end of the night, I refused to clean up the party mess and hit the shower as soon as the last guest left. It was a tiring event but I believe everybody had fun and that was all that mattered to me and Bo as the hosts.

So this morning, I woke up to a mess! After breakfast with Bo, I started cleaning the apartment. Took me almost 3 hours! I couldn't wait for the cleaning lady to come on Tuesday as suggested by Bo. By then, I probably would have gone crazy living in a mess. As I was cleaning away, I couldn't help but thinking that all the food from last night has gone and it is satisfying to see other people enjoying the foods I prepared. Maybe I should do this more often... I know my mom would be proud, she taught me everything I need to know in the kitchen. Can't wait to tell her. Come to think about it, I also need to do some shopping for my kitchen, to restock my spices...
