Today is the second day of Chinese New Year. I can still hear the thumping sound of the lion dance and its drum.. I can still smell the smoke from the fire crackers that my neighbors burnt. It's more lively today than yesterday, guess the weather plays a major role in this.
It was raining heavily yesterday and it was the first time that I spent first day Chinese New Year alone, without my husband and without my family... It was so gloomy and it effected my mood badly. The only entertainment I had was playing fetch with Noah and the internet. The satellite didn't work because of the weather. Astro needs to improve this area!
I went out with Wani the night before and had a few drinks. I got silly drunk and woke up with bad headache and to top it all, I had a running nose. I guess I got allergic from eating a lot of peanuts the night before. Heavy Rain, headache, running nose, lack of sleep - perfect combination for the worst mood one can get. Anyway, I popped a couple of aspirins and anti-histamine and I got a little bit better. I spent the whole day doing Itune (my laptop crashed not long time ago, thanks to my brother and lost all the programs I had before) I started with digging out all my CDs from the storage. Luckily, I stored them nicely before. So I stacked the CDs and started my work. Little did I know that uploading 50-odd CDs can be stressful.. So until 10pm last night, I uploaded 782 songs and it's not even half the collection I have.
Oh well, the Itune has got to wait. I am having a little gathering at my apartment tonight to welcome the year of the rat. Bo woke me up this morning and off he went to get me breakfast.. I know, he can be sweet sometimes. So, after breakfast or rather, brunch, I started with my preparation for dinner... and while waiting for the frozen food to thaw, here I am, typing this blog... So in a bit, I am going to be busy at the kitchen and cook some of my mom's recipe for Halal Chinese cuisine. I will take pictures when I am done with the presentation and will post them here... Until then!
