Ah well, I know everybody in Malaysia is talking about the general election that's taking place today. Friends have asked me where I stand in the political view, and I actually don't have anything to say. Really, I have taken the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" quite seriously. Mom & dad are both actively involved back home giving their supports to VK Liew, an uncle whose a candidate for BN.
Frankly speaking, I just couldn't be bothered with the political arena in this country. I take voting as an experience, only once is enough.
And really, I am more interested in voting for the next American Idol. Too bad that I am not in the USA or else I would have been spending my phone bills on David Archuleta voting for his win in the Idols. He has been good every week and I really hope that he wins. He has this personality that I am impressed with, he's cute & humble and he has big voice & talent.
Speaking of a singing reality show, our local favorite Akademi Fantasia is coming out soon. I have lost my interest in this. I think Sabahans need to realize that 2 Sabahan contestants at the final 5 won't ensure a first place for a Sabahan contestant. The number of votes are divided into 2 if this happens. That's why the highest place a Sabahan ever been is no 2.
Oh well, vote wisely people, no matter what you vote for. As for me, I've done voting in the general election once a few years ago and I don't think I'll be doing it again unless Malaysia has this online voting system that doesn't require queue and traveling... Maybe in year 3000! And I'll be long gone by then. And I'll pass on AF, no more wasting phone bill on wasted talent.
