I'm my hero's girl...

I can't help but respond to Rozella's post on Father's Day... I can actually relate to her situation for I am like that too... And I wasn't surprised that I'm not the only one.

Like Rozella, I have always been daddy's little girl. We have that in common! My mom is too closer to my 2 younger sisters than me... I always got on my mom's nerve and she returns the favor all the time. Not that I don't love her (God knows I would die for her!!) but I believe that we view the world differently. Something that seems petty to me may look serious to my mom... and so the argue begins... you get my drift.

On the other hand, my dad is like the coolest dad one can ever ask for. I can turn to him for anything and he'd willingly listen to my every story. I remember when I was little, I spent a lot of time with him. Since he's self-employed, he has more time at home than my mother who used to be a school teacher. We would go out to his work places and he'd tell me a lot of life lessons without me noticing what they were until I'm all grown up... And all the stuffs he used to tell me came back to my head and I understand them better now, what he meant by them.

He's successful in his own way.. He inspires me to be like him actually, being the enterprising person he is. That was why when I was asked what would I want to be when I grow up, I always said I wanted to be an entrepreneur, just like my dad. And after school, I learned how to be one by working at his office. And even when my work-training was over, I went back to help him with his business.

I've never left him... Until 3 years ago, when I met my husband. Bo reminded me so much of my dad.. Maybe that is the reason why I clicked with him in the first place. They have that easy-going persona about them that I love... They don't take things seriously when it's not supposed to be. I am blessed to have found such person and when I brought him to meet my dad for the first time, they became best friends.

I am sad that I won't be able to be with him on Father's Day but at the same time, I am happy that I found the perfect gift for him! I thought I had to search online for that golf equipment that he always wanted but I found them here in One Utama... how lucky is that? Anyway, the gift now is already with my aunt who promised to deliver it to my dad tomorrow..

Anyway, I am going to call him in a bit to wish him Happy Father's Day and to all fathers who happen to read this post, Happy Father's Day... You are truly a hero in your own way.

I hope your dad liked the gift! :)

And yeah, it's true isn't it? They say that girls tend to end up with guys who are like their fathers.

Maybe that's just the way we are... Is your other half anything like your dad?

cheers!
