Jakarta as I see it...

I've been told how big Jakarta was and how lively the city at nights. Friends & relatives who have been there couldn't stop saying how great Jakarta was.

However, when I was there a few days ago, I saw Jakarta differently. Not that I didn't enjoy my visit... I did. Of course I did, it's a different country and we got to play golf non-stop for 3 days straight. But there was something else... Something that made this trip quite... sad actually.

Instead of all the greatness my friends and family told me I'd see in Jakarta, I saw poverty, homelessness and orphans on the street, uneducated and started to learn that committing crime is the way to survive. And that just tore my heart apart. I didn't think to take pictures as I thought that they would sadden me even more.

I don't think that I'd return one day... It's not as great as I was told, maybe my expectation was too high. But it was set that way by so many people...
