Sports Channel

Just as I thought we are done watching soccer with Manchester United winning the Champion's League, another soccer championship comes along... There goes my early nights...

You see, I am not a soccer fan.. but I do enjoy watching the soccer players especially the cute ones like C. Ronaldo (who doesn't, right?) I even jokingly declared to Bo that CR is officially my fantasy boyfriend #3... (1st being Raphael Jacquelin and 2nd Lewis Hamilton). Although I'm sure he's not happy with this declaration being the sensitive kind that he is, he couldn't say anything because that would be the only reason why I stayed up late nights watching the games & tournaments & races with him.

I don't really understand soccer, except for the fact that whichever team score the most goals will win the game. I am not really a sporty type. The only sport that I seriously take up is golf and some people have this misconception that it isn't sport at all... that it's a 'relax' and boring game. You see, I used to think like that too... I used to fall asleep on Bo's lap whenever he watched a golf tournament.. A golfer friend once said that the Golf Channel is a God sent, I agreed and said that it's the best ever form of sleeping pills for me... But now, I could stay awake until 3 in the morning just to watch it.. I guess, it's a God sent with a different meaning to me.

Anyway, back to soccer. I am sure that they are a lot of girls out there who call themselves 'kaki bola'.. I am not one of them.. At this very moment, I am typing away this entry while Bo is next to me watching the Euro game of Spain vs Russia.. I can type crazy things about him and he won't even notice... But since I promised that I'll stay awake to accompany him and to prepare his tea, I'd just do that. A lot of peolpe has made their bets in who will win the cup... My money is on Portugal (yep, you guessed it! - because C. Ronaldo is in it).

Spain just scored the second goal... Bo is cursing!

Shocked, I asked him..

ME: Who are you supporting, babes?

HIM: Russia

ME: Why?

HIM: It gives me the thrill if I support a weaker team..

ME: (Smiled but in my heart... macam ini pun ada ka?)

Half time, and we are watching a tournament rerun on Golf Channel. Yeay!
