Zombie for a day.

I felt and looked like a zombie today. Went home from the club at 9.00 am and went to bed right away, only to be woken up after around 1/2 hour by a phone call from Nina.

Last night, it didn't rain which was good. We reached the club at half past 10pm and joined our regular friends at the golf terrace where they were being entertained by not so talented in-house singer and some slide show videos of the club. We had some black coffee and chatted while waiting for the countdown to Merdeka. The Sultan arrived promptly 10 minutes before 12.00 AM and sat there while the club's choir group came on stage and started singing some patriotic songs which we joined in with glee.

My eyes were wild looking for fellow lady golfers and was quite disappointed when I couldn't figure more than 5, including myself. Out of boredom, I went to the buggy station wanting to wait there until our tee off time. Just when I sat myself on my buggy, they started counting down and shouted Merdeka! from the terrace and followed by 5 minutes of firework shows which I thought was enjoyed more by the caddies.

We teed off at exactly 12.30 am and just before that, I got acquainted with my flight mates who were 2 senior lady golfers who have been playing more many many years. I didn't get stressed by that, but I was stressed because the club has decided to assign me with an 'imported' caddy from other club and it so happened that my caddy has just started working 2 weeks ago so she wasn't familiar with the rules and was not good at reading lines. In fact, she doesn't even know how to do it. I had to depend solely on my own judgment throughout the game. Needless to say, it was my worst ever game ever played. However, the experience is priceless and I had so much fun that I am already looking forward to next year's tournament.

I'm off to bed in a bit. Gotta sleep off all the tiredness and disappointment. By the way, part of the goodies we received was a weighing scale that has body fat percentage calculator. Is that a reminder for me?
