5 Great Lessons

1. Most Important Lesson

During my second month of nursing school, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one:"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times.

She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.

"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say 'hello'.
"I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

2. Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s.
The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him.

Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others." Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole

3. Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies - you see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4. Fourth Important Lesson - The Obstacle in Our Path

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.

Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.

After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand.

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

5. Fifth Important Lesson - Giving when it Counts

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks.

Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?" Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her. You see, after all, understanding and attitude are everything.

Why Oh Why?

I heard from a friend today that someone i.e. her friend is thinking about doing an abortion.

This isn't the first time I've came across this issue. Back in my schooling years, I thought it was the only solution to unwanted pregnancy. And then, as I grow older I still hear about this... Even from someone who I thought was matured enough & able enough to bring a child into the world.

It is beyond me as to why this thought even cross their mind... If they do not want pregnancy in the first place, I am sure that they knew how to prevent them. Haven't they heard of condom? I know some people are "shy" about buying condoms from a convenient store or the supermarket. I remember a particular moment when I did my monthly groceries shopping about 2 years ago. At the check out counter, I took out a box of condoms and put it on the counter.. The cashier looked at me on my face in horror as if buying a condom was such a sin! And I could hear whispers among the other cashiers as I left the supermarket. I mean, what is so shameful about taking a step to prevent pregnancy? Is it so silly? I didn't think so, and I thought it's a smart move especially if you are not ready for the consequences of a hot sex, apart from not getting any.

Back to the abortion, I know some people including myself who are wishing that one day we can call a child our own. And a child will complete our married life and bring us closer as family. We will be proud parents and we will be happy to tell our friends & family about our children's development. And when there are people like me who want children so badly and couldn't conceive them; and there's people who throw away the chance of having the gift of love...? I just couldn't comprehend..

ICE

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign

The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' ( In Case Of Emergency).

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as 'ICE.'

For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference!

Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today!

Please forward this. It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest .

ICE will speak for you when you are not able to.

Happy Birthday Darling!

I've known Easter since I first started work at Sutera Harbour. That was more than 10 years ago.. OMG! how time flies...

We have been best of friends since. Through her, I get to know more beautiful friends... We have gone through bad & good times together, but I must say, most of the times, they were good & fun times!!!

Sorry darling, I missed your birthday celebration again this year! We can always celebrate when I am back in KK this month end, ok? In the meantime, I hope John gives you something you've been wishing for... remember our little chat at my parent's house last year?

Gina, Easter, Lucy & Me

Here's wishing the most fun girlfriend I have ever known in my life, Easter...

Happy Birthday!

Die mosquitoes... die!

I discovered the Citronella Candles from The Body Shop last year, when I was looking for something to scent up a function room where the company I was working at held an event. I thought the smell was so strong that the 'damp' smell will be gone in no time. I brought home the left-over from the party, all 3 pieces of them.

I have been burning them one by one until they all finished up by last week. Since then, I have been to every Body Shop store I could find and looked for the exact candles and they were all sold out. These candles are limited edition and they will not be reproduced again anytime soon, if they are ever going to be at all.

So when I went into the Body Shop store at the Mid Valley megamall and saw the candles there, I was excited! I told the sale assistants how I've been looking for the candles for days. It was such a relief that I finally found them there. She said they only have 15 pieces left and was shocked when I said I want to take all of it altogether!

The citronella candles are useful. Not only does it smell good, they also keeps the insects away, especially mosquitoes. A newspaper from few days ago reported that the place with most dengue case in Selangor is Subang Jaya and I live here. I am not going to burn any mosquito coils so these candles are the best alternative, I believe.

All the 15 candles that I got, I am going to spare some for my mom. You see, my parents house is surrounded by bushes and very very prone to insects bites and stings. And few of them will be placed near Noah's bed so that he won't get bitten by mosquitoes. Did you know that dog's worst enemy is mosquito? Only one bite and they can kill a dog; They can cause heart worms to the dog and kill them indirectly.

So, I will be sleeping well tonight knowing that my citronella is protecting me from those harmful mosquitoes bites!

I'm burnt... Help!

I know Lorena Ochoa is the number one lady golfer in the world right now. She just won another LPGA tour, Ginn Open.

But my favorite will always be Natalie Gulbis. Although she's only the no 38 in the 2008 LPGA's world ranking, she still impress me anytime. She's just beautiful and sexy! I know people always thought that I would like other pro lady golfer like Paula Creamer, but for me, still Natalie Gulbis.

Trying to look like how Natalie looks on the golf course today was kinda idiotic of me. Bo & me were supposed to tee off at 8 am this morning but as we made our way to Tasik Putersi GGC which is located in Rawang (about 1 hour drive from where I live minus the traffic), we stopped by at the highway R&R to have our breakfast. We finally teed off at 9 am instead.

I thought since we were going to play early in the morning, I'd best put on my stylish and very short skort (a hybrid of skirt/short) and my new Taylormade visor. Little did I know that the Sun would be worst enemy today. By the time we finished all the 18 hole, I took off my glove and arm cover and discovered that I have stripes on my arm! I am officially a burnt golfer. Bo said I look like a tapir! He snorted when he said that but I thought that wasn't funny at all!

I called Bo after his meeting this afternoon and told him about how bad the "stripes" looked on my arm. He suggested that we go for a spa session and scrub off the 'black spots" on my arm.

Oh well! Anybody can offer me a natural remedy to get rid of sun burnt???

Me & Becky Bloomwood

I just can't wait for the release of the movie 'Confessions of a Shopoholic' based on the book by the same name written by Sophie Kinsella. I know they have started filming. At least that's what the newsletter I subscribed to announced not long time ago.

I started reading the book I think 3 years ago and since the first book, I religiously waited for the sequences. The way Sophie Kinsella wrote it made me addicted to it. It used to take me 3 months just to finish a book, maybe a 300-pages one. But with the Shopoholic series, it took me only 3 days. It's that addictive!

I guess being able to relate to the major character of the books, Becky Bloomwood really made me hooked. You've got to read it yourself to know what I mean!

Since the first Sophie Kinsella's book I read, I didn't stop until I read everything she writes, except those she wrote under the pen-name Madeline Wickham. I guess those are a little bit boring. Apart from the shopoholic series, Sophie Kinsella also did amazing writing with Undomesticated Goddess, Can you keep a secret? and Remember me?. But of course, the series are my all time favorite!

Debts be gone!

I was reading through Quirin's post on her blog debt o debt and I remembered the telephone conversation I had with my banker just the other day.

A few days before that, I received a letter from my bank saying that they have increased my credit limit by RM3k... I was so excited (I always mistakenly thought that credit cards are free money). I know it means trouble in shopping paradise again for me. Without taking into serious consideration on how wise I should 'use' the credit, I took Bo to a pro shop and bought him a new driver (his current driver is 4 years old and apparently non-conforming, whatever that means).

And I shopped and shopped again.. of course! And then, one day I decided to get my own driver (after trying Bo's new driver and liking how it feels). So, we went to Taylormade Concept Store (the only store that carries the type of driver I want) and decided to purchase it. I called up my bank and asked if I have another RM2000+ to spare for the driver but unfortunately not. I have used up my credit to the maximum! Obviously, the driver had to wait for next month when the credit cards debts all been paid...sob..sob..sob.. I still left the store with a purchase though, a visor and oh! a deposit to the driver.

Come to think of it, I am so badly in debt.. All RM20k between the 3 cards that I have! I didn't realize how big the amount is until it's written down... S**t! I should stop buying on impulse from now on...

On a positive note, I know I can get away with this soon... I believe I do have the same luck as Becky Bloomwood of The Shopholic Series. Good read the books are... I really can relate to the story and the characters.

P/S: Quirin, that's the book you should read for good laugh! Highly recommended.

I need good Fengshui

I went to a Feng Shui (or Fungsui as my late grandpa used to call it) shop a couple of days ago with Lucy. Thanks to her for infecting me with mild obsession with this Chinese Superstition.

I've always been loyal to the half Chinese blood that runs through my vein. Grown up with my late grandpa and mostly Chinese community made me more Chinese than Malay (I supposed this is what you call a Berunai people in Sabah). Although my father is still a true Berunaian, I practice more Chinese beliefs than any other religion. He doesn't seem to mind... he's a cool dad anyway.

Anyway, back to the Feng Shui thing, I asked the 'master' (or rather the shop assistant), how can I multiply the money... She said I should wear some yellow color stone or a mystic knot that represent wealth and prosperity. I quite like the yellow stone pendant but it was slightly more expensive than the Jade mystic knot so I settled for the jade instead. Then, Lucy's sister thought that a three-coins would probably help me with the money too. Apparently, if you place the 3-coins in your purse in between a folded big money, the money will start to grow. At RM6.80 a piece, I didn't mind trying. There's no harm in it, right? So I made my purchase and wishing that there are some truth to these claims (or beliefs)...

The very next day, before breakfast, I tried withdrawing money from the ATM as I had only RM50 left in my purse. My ATM card couldn't work! I tried again on another bank and still it didn't work... I guess the mystic knot is doing its job. A mystic knot apparently would circulate the movement of your money in circle and that it won't get lost or away... Then out of nothing, Bo called me to say that he's near and he'd like to see me before he went off to his another meeting. And he gave me some cash. Much more than what I had in my purse that day.. I guess the coins are working their charms. You know, multiplying the amount of cash I had in my purse that morning...

On Tuesday, when Lucy will be back from KK for her visa interview, I'll drag her to the Fengshui shop again... This time I want protection and good will and good relationship... Call me greedy, I call it being human.. hehehe!

Trip... trip...trip...

At breakfast this morning, Bo told me how he misses KK... Guess we are heading there in the next week or so. We haven't gone back to KK for the last 4 months, I know it's not long but Bo made it sounds like it's been forever since we were in KK. I know I look forward to KK trip more than other KK trips I've had before. Mainly because this time around, I'd like to play golf at as many golf courses as I can. Karambunai, Borneo, Dalit, SH... I can't wait already. That will be an excellent excuse to spend time with my dad, haven't been doing that in a very long time.

After KK, we'd probably go on another trip for our one-year anniversary celebration. I have Damai Laut, Lumut in mind but if we are going to spend more than a week in Sabah, we'd probably head to somewhere nice there (maybe Karambunai) to spend the anniversary's night. We have sweet memories with Karambunai, we used to spend the nights there one week at a time while we were still dating. Maybe we can re-live those moments except this time around, it involves golf and water sports.. Things we didn't do back then because we were too busy in the room :)

After the KK trip, there is Lucy's wedding to attend. She has made it clear to me that she will break any contact with me if I don't show up... Really, I couldn't tell if she was joking or not and I wouldn't want to take the risk! Besides, the wedding's in London.. what better excuse would there be for another trip to Europe? This time, instead of France, I'd really love to visit Spain. But Bo has something else in mind, he wants to go to the US directly from London... I guess we'll see... I haven't even properly plan these trips anyway. We will find out the final arrangement by the week after next. I'd like to take things one at a time anyway.

So, this year isn't so bad... I am already secretly planning on my birthday trip for this year. Since last year was grandly celebrated in Bali, I'm wishing for Phuket this year...

Only the lonely...

After having guests from KK staying at my apartment for the last one week or so, I feel lonely again now that they've gone back. I started to feel the loneliness when Easter left on Wednesday. And when the rest of them left yesterday morning, I can hear the echo of my own voice in the apartment... sob...sob...sob...

Luckily I had golf game with the boys last night, a sure-kill of my boredom. I talked about the game in my other blog. I got home half past midnight and I had the longest shower in weeks. I fell asleep at around 3 am and woke up at 3pm this afternoon! Only to find 6 missed calls on my mobile. Bo's Peugeot has been acting up again and stalled near a toll at the LDP highway. I guess it's time to change to another car after only slightly more than 2 years. Not a very reliable machine if you asked me. I picked him up from the Peugeot service center without taking my shower and I know I looked like shit... Oh well...

We are going out for dinner in a bit. I really don't feel like cooking like I promised him last night. He said he'll be spending the night with me tonight so maybe we can have nice romantic dinner that comes with wine tonight.

ATM users be cautious

Another forwarded email I received today and thought no harm in sharing with you all.

Cheers!

Subject: ATM users be cautious

Dear All,

I would like to share a real life story with all my friends and especiallyall my colleagues and all Maybank account holders.

This incident happened on today evening (1 April 2008). I went to the PJ State (Also known as PJ New Town) Maybank to withdraw RM500. Unfortunately for me, only 9 RM50 notes came out instead of 10.

What happened was, one of the RM50 notes was folded exactly in half and placed at a corner of the stack (Please refer to the attached pictures showing how two RM50 notes can be counted as three).

I was so upset because I have no proof that the ATM did not give me the correct amount. After much hesitation, I finally decided to call Maybank to complain about the incident knowing that I may not get back my money. But at least I can caution them of such incident.

When I told of my situation to the Maybank Customer Service Representative, to my surprise, I was informed that I'm not the first victim. It seems that similar cases have occurred before. The lady explained that it is the malfunction of the ATM and the money may accidentally get folded in half.

However when questioned, she was unable to explain to me why the money can be folded exactly in half and placed nicely in the corner of the stack.

I believe this is the new technique of cheating money, done by the people who are responsible of placing the money into the ATMs. In the stack of money which is to be placed into the ATM, one RM50 note is folded nicely in half, for every one note taken out of the stack of money.

The folded RM50 notes are then placed at the edge of the stack and positioned in the ATM where the money would be counted. With that done, every one folded note would be counted by the machine as two notes.

I may be wrong about how and why it happened, but I would like to warn everyone about this incident. Please be careful when withdrawing money from the ATM (it may happen to other banks as well) and do count your money to be sure. If such an incident really happened to you (*touch wood*), please do call up the bank to complain about this.

If everyone keeps quiet about this, the bank may be unaware of such incidents and the people responsible may just continue doing what they do without getting caught! Even if it is actually because of the ATM malfunctioning, the bank should know about this and there is also a chance
of you getting your money back.

A lighter side and something for us to ponder!

Got this from Bro Mercdad over at Mybenz forum:

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?" The crow answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Management Lesson 1:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,” sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy. "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fortnight, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon, a farmer spotted the turkey and promptly shot it out of the tree.

Management Lesson 2:
Bull S H I T might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

When the body was first made, all the parts wanted to be Boss. The brain said, "I should be Boss because I control the whole body's responses and functions”. The feet said, " We should be Boss as we carry the brain about and get him to where he wants to go". The hands said, "We should be the Boss because we do all the work and earn all the money”. And it went on and on with the heart, the lungs and the eyes until finally the asshole spoke up. All the parts laughed at the idea of the asshole being the Boss. So the asshole went on strike, blocked itself up and refused to work. Within a short time the eyes became crossed, the hands clenched, the feet twitched, the heart and lungs began to panic and the brain fevered. Eventually they all decided that the asshole should be the Boss, so the motion was passed. All the other parts did all the work while the Boss just sat and passed out the asshole!

Management Lesson 3:
You don't need brains to be a Boss - any S H I T will do.

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold, the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!

Management Lesson 4:
1) Not everyone who drops S H I T on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of S H I T is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep S H I T, keep your mouth shut!

Life is NOT boring...

Especially if you are expecting many friends to come down to KL to visit and party with you all at the same time. Yes! I am super duper excited.

Lucy arrived last week, Easter is arriving tomorrow, Bibi is arriving on Friday and just this afternoon Easter called to tell me that Jessica, Debbie & Darl are also going to be in town... Regina will also come down from Seremban to spend some times with us...

If the 2 of us (me & Lucy) attract men's attention easily at KLCC the other day, I am so sure that the group of almost 10 pretty Sabahan girls together will attract men's attention like bees to honey... hehehe.

We are thinking of getting a hotel-apartment type room so that we can party one of the nights away without worrying about going back to Subang after getting wasted. We'll see.

How to tell if your feet stink.....

Picture speaks a thousand words... :)

Bitches at the beach?

Since Bo has golf game with the boys tonight, Lucy & me decided to go down to KL on our own to meet up her friend, Laura who made a stop-over in KL en-route to Melbourne from London.

After we had our dinner at Trader's Hotel (which was superb, by the way), we made our way to Asian Heritage Row to dance the dessert's calories away. Maybe it's Tuesday's night, but the area was quiet and didn't look interesting. So, we went around Jalan Sultan Ismail again to find a place we could have some fun.

We saw Beach Club was packed so we thought it was interesting. Mind you, the last time I was there was maybe more than 2 years ago and I was there with Bo and my then colleagues.

I never liked Beach Club, ever since the first time I went there. It looked like a sleazy, tacky club to me and it's definitely NOT the place to get drunk, you may be in a lot of trouble if you did.

First, the club is just full of slutty looking 'girl tourists'. With blonde-hair that just looked off, outfits that looked like 1 or 2 sizes too small, worn-out bras that showing and coming out, breasts that looked like they were ready to pop out anytime and the dancing on some sort of platform suggesting that they were going to do a Thai-Girl Show/Striptease, almost.

Second, the men especially the tourists who thought that it's that easy to pick up girls at a club just by locking eye contacts. Can't they tell the differences between a look of disgust and a look of a flirt? How ignorant or rather naive can they get?

If it wasn't for Laura, I wouldn't want to set foot at that place. Despite all that, I had fun people-watching. It was fascinating to watch a vice in action, the look on a guy's face when he gets to touch a girl without even buying her a glass of drink, an angry girlfriend caused by her boyfriend dancing with another girl... The girls and basically the whole crowd.

One thing I sympathize with was the sharks that they have over the bar. If I remember well, there used to be more sharks but last night, there were only two... I guess they died... Goes to show that even sharks wouldn't want to be seen at the beach club!

Oh! and the cocktail (at least the margarita that I had) was not nice at all!

Incredibly beautiful & touching...

That title was exactly the title of the email that I received from Yvonne today. It's referring to the 5 year-old blind Korean girl whose amazing talent has touched many people hearts. She is indeed a natural talent and my heart goes to her.

Few days back the same video was posted in the Mybenz forum that I frequented. I actually did not open the youtube link that C9 posted until Noti commented on it. I opened it, viewed it with tears in my eyes. How really touching...

I am actually very impressed that the girl is actually not the biological child of her parents, she was adopted even when she's blind.

Math genius or...

In the past week, a lot of people talked about the then 12 year-old mathematic genius who went to Oxford and did more than expand her intelligence...

As always, people like to speculate the reasons behind her being the person she is today. I know it's really a shame that a bright student like that end up doing 'dirty' jobs instead of becoming someone that can be well-respected.

I don't want to be someone who judge people easily like that... as I really do not know what she has gone through all the while she was there. She decides who she wants to become and that's her choice. What I don't understand is that there's a petition to save her from her profession as prostitute/escort girl. Why do people feel the need to save someone from doing something she is wiling to do... Maybe the answer would be that she might not realize the 'dangers' of her life decision and that someone has to knock some sense into her head. To me, if she can't change who she is, then nobody else can. If you try to stop someone doing what he/she enjoys, you may succeed but it won't last long because I believe in the saying 'Old Habit, Die Hard'.

She may be a math genius at the age of 12, but at the age of 23, she is one hot girl! And if she's not sorry for what she does, why should we? At least, she's being honest about it. She's not portraying someone she's not just to please the community... Think about it.

For more story on her, read this article on News Of The World

Video of her confession: Click here (You have to be 18 years old & above though)

It's a jungle out there!

While waiting for Lucy to do her UK visa application submission at Wisma MCA Jalan Ampang, I went down to Secret Recipe to have some drinks. Seated there next to my table was someone very familiar. So I said hi and tried to remember who she was.

She's my mom's good friend, Rosalind. She had cuts on her left cheek. So I asked what happened. And so she told me everything about her being robbed a couple of nights ago. She lost her handbag containing purse with some cash, her mobile phone, her passport, her ID, her credit cards etc.. Basically, all that she depended on being in a foreign place.

She was sending her son to register for the entry into a university and while crossing the road, a motorbike with two riders came and snatched her handbag and dragged her on the road for more than a meter. That's how she gets the cuts and wounds on her cheek and she also showed me the cuts and wounds on her left arm, elbow, thigh, knee and ankle. Poor woman.

It is really beyond me how daring these people are to commit these sort of crime and how pathetic it is to do it on older ladies who they know are weak. This is not the first time I heard of this incident, and I have this sick feeling that it will not stop. I guess the only thing we can do is to avoid it... at whatever way possible. So Ladies, it's a jungle out there... be careful wherever you go.
