Shopping in Bandung.

As promised, I am going to blog about my trip to Bandung... Like previously mentioned, it was a trip that wasn't planned long and thorough. Bo & me just decided one day after golf that we'd like to visit my youngest aunt who happened to be traveling to Bandung for a few days.

All we did was purchased our flight tickets, all transfers and accommodation have been taken care by my aunt.

We almost missed our flights though... Because I didn't really read the flight itinerary forwarded to me by the travel agent. I took for granted thinking that it was 12.00pm flight, when in actually fact it was the arrival in Bandung time. I'm not going to describe my stupidity, so to skip all that, we barely managed to catch the flight. In fact, we were 'saved' by the heavy downpour... Most flights were delayed due to it.

We arrived Bandung almost an hour late. Aunt was already waiting at the airport with our driver. She has arranged everything for us, even the itinerary itself...

OK, how do I say this... To say that Shopping in Bandung is Heaven would be an understatement. Can anything top heaven? I wouldn't know, I've never been there... Sounds crazy? The shopping in Bandung is crazier!!

I went with my medium sized luggage only filled with my toiletries and change for 2 days, that's 2 dresses and a pair of sandal. That was only about 5% of the space. I even packed empty shoe boxes just for padding so my makeup won't break.

I came home with my luggage filled to the maximum (all the clothes were rolled), I even had to unzip the extender zipper! I bought enough clothes to last me a lifetime! The prices? Not even a bargain, they're so cheap that you'd think getting the same design in 3 different colors isn't a big deal! The brands? Check your wardrobe and see all the 'expensive' brands that you have and see where they are made from... If it says Indonesia, they can be found in Bandung my friends...

Bebe, Juicy Couture, Ed Hardy, Victoria's Secret, Victoria Beckham, 7 for Mankind, Armani Exchange, Tommy Hilfiger... to name just a few.

I spent all 3 days 2 nights I was there shopping... I had no time for sight seeing. The peak of a volcano was not interesting enough for me. I couldn't be bothered with taking pictures neither. No time for that!

Oh! I spent 3 millions on accommodation & transport and 5 millions on shopping and food. That's around RM2500 - shocking? Go there and see for yourself!

Going again!

Bo mentioned to me twice last week that he needs to go on vacation, to de-stress and to just do nothing for a couple of days. Excitedly, I went online to find ideas but none of them really interest me that much. It's either too short a notice for bookings, or a bit too expensive.

And then, like an answered prayer, my youngest aunt sent me a text message saying that she'll be going to Bandung for a couple of days to escape 'Nyepi' festival in Bali. We thought of going to visit her in Bali before she comes back to Malaysia for good next month, but we were just there a little bit more than a year ago. She invited us to join her there. With accommodation and transfer free of charge for us, I jumped at the idea and straight away booked our tickets at AirAsia.

I have never been to Bandung. I have heard about it. About the shopping craze... Still unsure if it'll be that great... Therefore, there will be no golfing involved this time, no sightseeing, no other activity except shopping. And if it's as good as they said, I'll probably go back for a longer stay.

Need to pack now.. Flight's on Tuesday morning and I want to check if my Rupiahs are enough for the shopping. Will blog about it when I come back.

How do I look?

Noah just came back from the groomer and I wish to share with you his new look...

He's saying Hi to all and have a great weekend!

I told you so

I know probably most of you know the song by now. When I saw the elimination round a couple of nights ago, it wasn't the elimination that left me breathless... (though I thought the American has made a mistake), but it was the duet by Carrrie Underwood and Randy Travis.

I remember when I was a teenage girl, I listened to Randy Travis' songs a lot. Dad is such a fan. It was the best form of sleeping pills for me back then. Especially on lazy weekend afternoons. Country musics have never taken a place in my heart & my iPod but this particular one can be a different story.

I searched Youtube for the video to listen to it again and I googled the lyric to confirmed the wordings, you know to see if what I heard was the right one.

I am not sure whether it's the tune or the lyric, but the song has got that special touch and I fell in love. I'm gonna rush to the record store to get my first ever Carrie Underwood's CD (if the song's in it). Meanwhile, here's the youtube video and lyric for sharing:

Suppose I called you up tonight and told you that I loved you
And suppose I said "I wanna come back home".
And suppose I cried and said "I think I finally learned my lesson"
And I'm tired a-spendin' all my time alone.

If I told you that I realised you're all I ever wanted
And it's killin' me to be so far away.
Would you tell me that you loved me too and would we cry together?
Or would you simply laugh at me and say:

"I told you so, oh I told you so
I told you some day you come crawling back and asking me to take you in
I told you so, but you had to go
Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again".

If I got down on my knees and told you I was yours forever
Would you get down on yours too and take my hand?
Would we get that old time feelin', would we laugh and talk for hours
The way we did when our love first began?

Would you tell me that you'd missed me too and that you'd been so lonely
And you waited for the day that I return.
And we'd live in love forever and that I'm your one and only
Or would you say the tables finally turned?

Would you say:

"I told you so, oh I told you so
I told you some day you come crawling back and asking me to take you in
I told you so, but you have to go
Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again".

"Now I found somebody new and you will never break my heart in two again".

I am hooked!

I am so hooked to this PSP game I just purchased, it took out most of my time and my boredom.

I know I am no small kid anymore, but it's good to keep in touch with your inner child once in a while, you know to keep you sane and to chase away the adult stress? As long as we don't get carried away, we'll be fine.

Anyway, the game I was referring to is Everybody's Golf 2... So, if I haven't been blogging for a while, you'd know what's up with me.

The characters are so cute and I believe by playing this game, it can actually improves my knowledge on the game and on my skills. I am already on Level 7 (Golf Elite) and I am just in love with my character Callie (The girl with blonde hair and pink jersey, she's a cheerleader by the way)... I even got a dog playing with me now (LOL!)

Anyway, I need to play one more round now so I can advanced to the next level. See ya!

Miss me?

It's been a while since my last post... I couldn't help it... I had visitors from KK, and they took up almost all of my times. I hardly got to spend time with Bo even.

Anyway, I just want to share a quote that was forwarded to me by Phoebe... Read & reflect people!
