I went to Snip at the Curve yesterday thinking that I could have my overgrown fringe shortened... In fact, I wanted to have the 'heavy bang' look I had about 2 years ago..
I know it's troublesome to maintain but I liked it and I want it again. I want something that looks like Katie Holmes', now that I have shorter hair...
But, when I told the hairstylist that I want that heavy bang.. He refused, saying that I should grow my hair longer! I was like... huh? Hello! I have had it before, so I know how I'm gonna look with it, ok? But apparently, he IS the expert and I left the salon with major disappointment... Thinking that I should go somewhere else to get the haircut.
So, tomorrow I'm gonna crash any "good" looking salon and demand my haircut without any appointment.. It's too late for that anyway... How I wish the salons here are like highland village salon where you can make appointment online.

As long as the saloon you go to don't make you end up looking like a Beng instead. Have to be careful.
LOL! Ya bah Dan.. That would be a disaster oh kan! Since everyone is CNY mood. I know the Ahbeng style is like those my aunt calls Puting Beliung hair. LOL!

Yabah Mi. It's very disheartening kan when you already set your mind what you want for your hair, suddenly ada tu 'expert' ckp you dont suit that hair style.
It happened to me before when I wanted to curl my hair back. The hairstylist at the salon where i frequented (but not the usual hairstylist who did my hair) didnt want to curl my hair and told me it was too short to be curled. Hello! macam lah sia tida pernah curl my hair at that length. The reason i asked for curl bcos i ever done it, i like the outcome and i want it again.
I didnt go back there again.

Carol - Exactly! Sakit hati saya.. but of course maybe in my case kan because I lost banyak hair bah recently.. So macam ada balding patch kunun and having heavy fringe will make me look funny kunun.
mmg benci kan kalau gitu. professional opinions ka tidak, hair stylist can offer advices to their clients but the let the client decides on which style dia mau la bah kan. after all, it's your own hair.
i had a similar experience before. the stylist bilang nda sesuai kunu style yg sya mau tu. so he stone-walled me to get the style yg dia suggest. i was like - ok, try la. the results? everytime i saw my reflections, i felt ugly with my new hair cut! i had to wear headband for at least two months! nasib baik my hair grows quite fast.
Ennie - It's even worse when the hairstyle they insisted on you doesn't turn up alright kan? But at least now I know not to go to that salon anymore...
i know where to bring you for a heavy bang cut if you were in Kuching. The saloon is like very cikai2 one, but hell, they do a perfect 10 for fringe cut.. I was satisfied with mine, and they didnt question anything, even asking how you want it to be ; straight, rounded or slightly slanted...
and uniquely (at least for me la), they cut the bangs with razor.. It got me terrified! but the result was marvelous!
but never wash hair, or do any treatment there. Last time I did that, I felt like I went to Hell and back! head rasa mok tercabut!
