Since we have decided not to go back to KK for Chinese New Year, and since Valentine's Day happens to be on the same day as the first day of the Lunar Calendar, we decided to celebrate early this year. And instead of the usual dinner and gifts, this year I asked for a spa weekend.

We decided to try Cyberview Lodge Resort. It's "near yet far" and several recommendations from friends actually helped us choose this place. It's near enough for us not to feel too tired from long driving and far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city. After all, it's going to be a spa weekend.

I loved the spa that I openly declared that I will return for a full day spa one day... I have openly planned that I will start the day with a soak in their super-sized jacuzzi over-looking the lake (sorry I couldn't take picture when I was there because camera & cellphone were not allowed - another reason why I liked it there!), and then head on to the treatment room for all the body treatments and the works and then spend some time in the Sauna Room/Steam Room, before I finish off everything with the spa cuisine that's delicious even when they are healthy!

On the eve of Valentine's Day, we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Nothing really special as we decided to go for buffet. After dinner though, we celebrate "quietly" in our room with a bottle of red and chocolate we got from turn down service..

It was a different Valentine's celebration this year.. But it was a nice change and I loved it! I don't mind making that a tradition every year, rather than dinner, bouquet and chocolate all the time.
