All Night Long...

When I found out that Lionel Richie is returning to Malaysia, I jumped! Literally..

Was it in 2006? I couldn't recall the first time he came to Malaysia.. I remember very well though, that Abdullah Badawi was Malaysia's Prime Minister at that time.. Because the image of him, Tun M, Najib, and some VIPs dancing is very much fresh in my head. I also remember how Lionel Richie took my breath away with his performance... He really is THAT good.. And when he announced that he'd be returning back to Malaysia one day, I made Bo promised me that we'd go again.. Who cares if he's going to sing the same songs all over again..

This is sooo exciting! Did I mention that this is going to be the Petronas F1 Gala night?

Spa-ing at home.

Some of you may not know this, my sister (yes, the one who's staying with me) is a certified spa therapist.. She has the official training from Bali to be one..

Most of you may not know this, my aunt does purchasing for hotels and she's based in Bali.. Therefore she knows a lot of suppliers who can give her good price.. From furniture to soap. Naturally, spa furniture & products comes cheap for her..

So, what's in these for me, you asked? hehe

As nice as it is to have a massage almost everyday, I refrained from the urge.. Poor baby sister's also a human and needs to rest. :P

Our Spa weekend!

Love - a wildly misunderstood although highly desirable malfunction of the heart which weakens the brain, causes eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow, blood pressure to rise and the lips to pucker. ~Author Unknown

Since we have decided not to go back to KK for Chinese New Year, and since Valentine's Day happens to be on the same day as the first day of the Lunar Calendar, we decided to celebrate early this year. And instead of the usual dinner and gifts, this year I asked for a spa weekend.

We decided to try Cyberview Lodge Resort. It's "near yet far" and several recommendations from friends actually helped us choose this place. It's near enough for us not to feel too tired from long driving and far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city. After all, it's going to be a spa weekend.

Our room at Cyberview Lodge Resort

I loved the spa that I openly declared that I will return for a full day spa one day... I have openly planned that I will start the day with a soak in their super-sized jacuzzi over-looking the lake (sorry I couldn't take picture when I was there because camera & cellphone were not allowed - another reason why I liked it there!), and then head on to the treatment room for all the body treatments and the works and then spend some time in the Sauna Room/Steam Room, before I finish off everything with the spa cuisine that's delicious even when they are healthy!

On the eve of Valentine's Day, we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Nothing really special as we decided to go for buffet. After dinner though, we celebrate "quietly" in our room with a bottle of red and chocolate we got from turn down service..

It was a different Valentine's celebration this year.. But it was a nice change and I loved it! I don't mind making that a tradition every year, rather than dinner, bouquet and chocolate all the time.

Heavy Bang again

Deciding on a hair cut/hair treatment/hair color when Chinese New Year is just around the corner is a BAD idea. Really really BAD! You've got to wait in line, price hiked by at least 30% and the service you get is in such a haste that you end up annoyed from the waiting, paid double for a simple hair wash and declined of a service!

I went to Snip at the Curve yesterday thinking that I could have my overgrown fringe shortened... In fact, I wanted to have the 'heavy bang' look I had about 2 years ago..

I know it's troublesome to maintain but I liked it and I want it again. I want something that looks like Katie Holmes', now that I have shorter hair...

But, when I told the hairstylist that I want that heavy bang.. He refused, saying that I should grow my hair longer! I was like... huh? Hello! I have had it before, so I know how I'm gonna look with it, ok? But apparently, he IS the expert and I left the salon with major disappointment... Thinking that I should go somewhere else to get the haircut.

So, tomorrow I'm gonna crash any "good" looking salon and demand my haircut without any appointment.. It's too late for that anyway... How I wish the salons here are like highland village salon where you can make appointment online.
